My mother is once again needing her meds filled and once again we don’t have to money to cover it due to us having to pay the vet bills for my dearly departed puppy. The prescription costs 30 bucks, same as last time and we won’t get the cash for it until Wednesday. So why reblog this you might ask, well because as it turns out, I was wrong about money coming in on Wednesday, my father messed up a single date on the old age pension which has pushed back the release of it until April. So while we might be without food for the next three weeks, that’s not what I’m worried about. I’ll be frank, my mother was recently diagnosed with a disease called Lichen Sclerosus. It took 10 doctors, 14 months to diagnose it. It’s a rare illness that is usually found on the genitals, which is why I haven’t spoken about her illness and simply been vague to protect her dignity. No one wants problems with their genitals posted about online, but with her permission I’m being honest with you. Her medication is expensive and doesn’t work much, it’s a learning curve for the doctors who don’t know how to cure it. But while she attempts to learn to live in constant agony with blistering and bleeding genitals, we do what we can with over the counter meds to help her find some relief. Benadryl for the itching, vagisil for the burning, etc. Those things are expensive as well, and with no money coming in until April she’s unable to sleep, sit, pee, without crying uncontrollably. This type of thing is even worse now because of how stressed she’s been since the death of our dog three weeks ago. So if you’d like to help out, please use the donate link above.
