Dexter: Dad, can I ask you a question about something?

Tyler: Is it about women because I’m not sure I can give you great advice. Women are mysterious creatures. Your mother and I have been together for almost twenty years and I still don’t know what goes through that woman’s mind half the time. I’m rambling, sorry.

Dexter: Uh… okay. Anyway, it is about women – Carina, specifically. The other day when Josie came over, she told me that she caught Carina with Dustin at the park. I don’t really know what to do, I really love her. 

Tyler: Do you want my honest opinion?

Dexter: Well, yeah.. that’s why I came to you.

Tyler: Ever since the day that I found out you existed, I loved you more than anything in this world – honestly, I loved you way before you were born – and it pains me very much to see someone I love so much be hurt by someone he too, loves. What you and this girl have, it isn’t love. If she loved you, she would never do something like that to you. 

Dexter: So should I break up with her? 

Tyler: I think that’s what is best for both of you.
