Do π not π get π pets π if π you π donβt π have π the π time π or π the π patience π to π properly π train π them π and π take π care π of π them.
Iβve seen SO MANY people on various social media lately complain about their pets or post that theyβre rehoming them for ridiculous reasons such as having to keep them inside now due to the colder weather, too much shedding, being too much to handle, etc.
AND IβM LIVID, Y’ALL.
Like I understand that life is unpredictable sometimes, and there may be unforeseeable circumstances that really leave you with no other choice but to rehome them. But more often than not, itβs due to lazy owners or the inability or unwillingness to put in the effort their pets deserve.
Pets are a HUGE responsibility and require lots of love, attention, and patience. If youβre unable to provide that for them, pleasedonβt get one.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
YOU TOOK ON THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT PET WHEN YOU TOOK IT IN.Β YOU DONβT GET TO JUST GIVE UP ON IT WITHOUT A DAMN GOOD NO OTHER OPTION SITUATION GOING ON.Β THATβS IT.Β PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
And guess what SMALL pets take time and effort too.Β Be it a rabbit or a lizard or a mouse or a fish theyβre notΒ βeasyβΒ βthrow awayβ pets that you can put in a corner and forget about it.Β Β
You brought them into your home.Β You have a responsibility to make their lives as wonderful as you can.Β
IF YOU DONβT HAVE THE TIME OR ENERGY OR LOVE TO GIVE YOUR PET THEN DONβT GET ONE!
