NOT SO BERRY

While Astrid was outside retrieving the mail, she spotted an old friend jogging on the sidewalk. It’d been months since she’d seen or heard from Grayson, so why not say hello?

“Hey! Long time no see, stranger!” Astrid shouted to her friend. Grayson was quick to return the greeting.

Astrid! It’s been so long since I’ve seen your face!” She chuckled, offering the mother of three a cheerful grin. “What have you been up to?”

“Oh god, too much!” Astrid joked. “I’ve been working constantly, trying to keep three chaotic children alive and doing my best to manage my sanity but on the bright side, I finally found someone that makes my life a little less messy!”

Grayson was thrilled to hear that her good friend has finally found someone. “Is he cute!?”

NOT SO BERRY

Astrid led him to the small park behind the art gallery and embraced him. She was nervous, but the excitement coursing through her overshadowed it. The star-athlete leaned in close.

“I was thinking, we’ve been spending a lot of time together and I really like you. I know it’s probably too soon, but I’m not getting any older and being with you makes me so… happy! Would it be too crazy if we made things official?” Astrid rambled without hesitance.

Eduardo smiled softly. “Nothing would bring me more joy, Astrid.”
