“I should probably get going, work is in less than six hours and I’m exhuasted.” Iris told her friend.
“You’re right,” Tyler smiled. “But before you go, do you wanna go to the waterpark with me on Thursday? I know it’s your day off and I’m free as well.”
Iris grinned, excited to spend yet another day with him. “Of course! I can’t wait.”
it’s national daddy day and nobody can stop me from saying that

“So, what made you decide to become a doctor?” Tyler asked Iris, who tilted her head to the side in thought. She’d never been asked that question before and quite honestly didn’t know the answer herself.
“Uh.. I guess to help people?” She sounded hesitant in answering. “I don’t know, I guess it just seemed like the smart option. It’s nice to care for people and make them feel better, but it definitely isn’t what I want to do forever.”
“Well, what do you wanna do forever?”
“I’ve always wanted to be an entertainer. I can play the shit out of the piano.”
Look, there are some people you’re just always going to be a little bit in love with. Your high school sweet heart, your college sweet heart, prince zuko, the first significant other you live with. Just accept that it’s normal and move on.
NOT SO BERRY
“Isn’t it a bit weird that we’re laying outside a nightclub looking at the stars? People probably think we’re crazy.” Iris asked Tyler, laying against the cool concrete and gazing up at the twinkling stars above.
“Let them think we’re crazy, I don’t care what they think.” Tyler smirked. “We’re enjoying ourselves, that’s what matters.”
Iris glanced at the man laying next to her, admiring his content expression. It’d been a little over two months since she’d met him at her mother’s wedding and they’d spent almost every night together whether they were dancing at the nightclub or going out to get coffee. She considered him her best friend, but had always craved a little more. They hardly knew each other, but it didn’t feel that way.
