Milate: Would you ever forgive him for what he did?

Josie: I think I could as long as he apologizes and realizes how much he hurt me. 

Milate: That’s reasonable, but if he ever hurts you again, I’m going to sucker-punch the shit out of him! No one hurts my best friend and gets away with it!

Josie: Have I ever told you how much I love you?

NOT SO BERRY

Milate: I still can’t believe that Dexter had the audacity to come to you with his problems after he dropped you. Who does that?

Josie: I was pissed. A part of me still feels bad about the way I reacted but he chose to be with her. I warned him so many times that she was just using him. He never listened.

Milate: Do you still love him? Is that insensitive of me to ask?

Josie: Honestly, I do. I’ve never in my life felt this way about anyone except for Dexter. I know it’s not healthy to pine after someone who’ll never see me the way I see them but I can’t help it. Ugh, I don’t know what to do anymore.

NOT SO BERRY

Josie: A week ago you completely dropped me for your girlfriend and now you’re complaining about her to me? Am I just someone for you to use when you’re feeling crappy?

Dexter: I didn’t mean to blurt all that out, I’m sorry.

Josie: Save it, I don’t feel like having this conversation right now.

NOT SO BERRY

Dexter: I’m really sorry, you know that right? All I’ve ever wanted was for her to love me the way I love her, I thought if I did anything she wanted that she’d be with me but I couldn’t give her what she wanted and I think I am going to lose her.

Josie: Are you serious right now?

NOT SO BERRY 

Milate: I’m surprised you came considering Dexter is going to be here!

Josie: Well, Cecelia is one of my good friends. Besides, I can’t let Dexter keep me from living my life. 

Milate: Definitely! No need to waste your time being miserable over someone who could cast you aside to easily. 

Josie: Enough about him, this party is already pretty crappy and talking about him is making it even worse.

NOT SO BERRY

Josie: Let me guess, your control freak girlfriend thinks I’m going to steal you away from her. What a joke.

Dexter: It’s not her fault; Dustin cheated on her countless times. She’s just scared, is all.

Josie: So what, you’re just going to let her control your entire fucking life? That’s not fair to you and it’s certainly not fair to me! 

Dexter: I’m sorry, Josie. But this is what I chose to do, not what she made me do. It’s for the best.

Josie: You know what, fine. Enjoy having your life run by some girl who’s just using you to make her dumb ex-boyfriend jealous. See you around.

A few days after the night Carina gave Dexter an ultimatum, he invited Josie to the ancient ruins to talk.

Josie: This place is so freaking neat! All the kids in school talk about it since they throw a crap ton of parties here but I hadn’t seen it for myself until now. 

Dexter: Yeah… it’s cool, I guess.

Josie: You okay, Berry? You’ve been acting kinda weird all day.

Dexter: I have to tell you something but you’re not gonna like it.

Josie: What is it?

Dexter: I’m so sorry, I don’t want to do this but I have to.

Josie: Get to the point, please.

Dexter: We can’t be friends anymore.

Dexter: So, there’s this huge party coming up in about two weeks and I was just curious if you’d like to tag along with Carina and I. We made plans that weekend but she really wanted me to go, so I figured you could come too! You don’t have to, but I’d love it if you came with. 

Josie: Is Carina okay with me coming? I know she gets pretty jealous when I’m around. 

Dexter: She seemed fine with it from what I noticed.

Josie: Okay, I’ll go! But I’m bringing Milate! I refuse to third-wheel.
