NOT SO BERRY

Dexter raced to Josie’s house, not even bothering to change out of his pajamas. After Josie let him in, they went up to her bedroom.

Josie: So, what brings you here at one in the morning? Whatever it is must be important because you didn’t even bother to dress decently.

Dexter: I know, it’s late but I have to tell you something! I couldn’t sleep without you not knowing for another second.

Josie: Well then, spit it out!

Dexter: Okay well, I like you. A lot. And I know it’s sudden and I know there’s a possibility you might not feel the same way but I thought you should know! If you don’t feel that way back then that’s oka –

Josie: Dexter!

Dexter: W-what?

Josie: Shut up and kiss me. Please?

NOT SO BERRY

After returning home, Dexter remained up for hours. He felt confused. There was a weird feeling fluttering in his chest that he’d never felt before and it occured everytime Josie crossed his mind – specifically when he thought about that almost kiss. What was this feeling? Why was he feeling it?

The longer he let the thoughts linger in his mind, the more intense the butterflies became and he soon realized what it meant. He liked her. He liked Josie.

Dexter couldn’t even sleep with the realization of what he felt for the girl he’d been best friends with for years. How had he never noticed? Had he always felt this way and simply covered it up with his ‘love’ for Carina?

He didn’t know much about these newfound feelings but he did know one thing – he had to tell her.

enjoy my shitty writing 🙂
