A few days after the night Carina gave Dexter an ultimatum, he invited Josie to the ancient ruins to talk.

Josie: This place is so freaking neat! All the kids in school talk about it since they throw a crap ton of parties here but I hadn’t seen it for myself until now. 

Dexter: Yeah… it’s cool, I guess.

Josie: You okay, Berry? You’ve been acting kinda weird all day.

Dexter: I have to tell you something but you’re not gonna like it.

Josie: What is it?

Dexter: I’m so sorry, I don’t want to do this but I have to.

Josie: Get to the point, please.

Dexter: We can’t be friends anymore.

NOT SO BERRY

Dexter: You can’t be serious.

Carina: Look, I hate to do this to you but this is getting ridiculous. You told me I was your first priority the other day but apparently I’m not. I’m your girlfriend, you’re not supposed to hang out with other girls anyways. 

Dexter: So you’re saying that if I don’t drop my only friend, we’re done?

Carina: Mhm.

Dexter: *sigh* O-Okay… anything for you. I’ll tell her we can’t hang out anymore tomorrow.

Carina: Good! See, it’s not that hard of a decision.

When Dexter got home from spending time with Josie, Carina was on his front porch waiting for him. She didn’t look very happy.

Carina: Where the hell have you been!? I’ve been calling you for hours and it goes straight to voicemail!

Dexter: I’m sorry, I was with Josie and my phone died…

Carina: You’re always with that bitch! Are you in love with her or something, cause it seems like you’ve been spending an awful lot of time with her instead of me!

Dexter: Babe, please calm down! It’s not like that all! She’s my best friend and I like hanging out with her, but I’m definitely not in love with her! We’re just friends and that’s it.

Carina: Sorry but I’m not convinced. I’m tired of you putting her before me, so either you stop being friends with her or we’re done!

Dexter: So, there’s this huge party coming up in about two weeks and I was just curious if you’d like to tag along with Carina and I. We made plans that weekend but she really wanted me to go, so I figured you could come too! You don’t have to, but I’d love it if you came with. 

Josie: Is Carina okay with me coming? I know she gets pretty jealous when I’m around. 

Dexter: She seemed fine with it from what I noticed.

Josie: Okay, I’ll go! But I’m bringing Milate! I refuse to third-wheel.
