The twins had aged up a few weeks later, so Astrid and Tess moved into a smaller home in Oasis Springs, accompanied by Iris who wanted to focus on her career and stay with her mother.

In the middle of a conversation, Astrid hopped in front of Tess and knelt down on one knee. Tess was lost for words, tears already filling her eyes. This was the place her parents had gotten engaged and she already knew that was the reason Astrid had brought her here.
“This is going to be so cheesy, but I know you enjoy the cheesy stuff so here I go,” Astrid giggled to herself. “You’ve stood by my side for years, always making sure I had a shoulder to lean on when I was going through hard times and making it a little bit easier. I’ve spent years trying to find someone to love me and now that I’ve finally found you, I’m ready to spend the rest of my life with you. So will you do me the incredible honor of letting me love you forever?”

As Astrid stood before the woman she loved more than anything, she knew that everything would be just fine.

A few months after Astrid and Tess’ first date, she invited Tess out to the park they’d gone to together with the kids. She had a plan in mind and felt more nervous than she ever had in her entire life.
Astrid prayed everything would go just as planned.
